3 Morning Oat Recipes to Increase/Sustain Milk Supply



I love oatmeal, and always have. The good thing about oat meal though, is that it's great for a powerful pumptastic breastfeeding mama bear! Keeps you full to avoid snacking. Grains, minerals, and fiber to promote energy, balance and good brain function. Quick and easy, because if there is one thing I know, it doesn't matter if you have 1 or 10 little baby bears running around, a mothers time is precious. So here are some of my favorite single serving recipes.

Basic Recipe For Oats:
Bring 1/2 cup milk 1/2 cup water to a boil
Add 1/2 cup Old Fashioned (not instant) Oats
Reduce heat to medium and simmer for 5 minutes
Stir occasionally
Once timer goes off remove from heat
Let settle for 2 minutes
Add in yummy extras

1.) Peanut Butter and Banana
Chop and Add Banana
1/2 Tablespoon Flaxseed 
1 Spoon of Peanut Butter and Stir

2.) Yum Yum Berry
Drizzle of Honey
1/2 Cup Fresh Blueberries (I like a lot)
1/2 Tablespoon of Flaxseed 

3.) Strawberry Shortcake
1/2 Cup Sliced Strawberries
Spoonful Brown Sugar
1/2 Tablespoon Flaxseed
Few drops Vanilla Extract
